November 30, 2007—Salt Lake City—On December 6, the Utah Technology Council, in conjunction with the Open Source Conference “Home Runs in IT”, will host a breakfast and networking opportunity at the Novell campus in Provo. “Information and telecommunications technologies are an integral part of an ever-changing landscape,” said Richard Nelson, UTC president and CEO. “This will be a great opportunity to come network with some of Utah’s major league IT players.” The UTC breakfast will provide entrepreneurs and business leaders with an excellent chance to scout emerging tech venture teams and network with other IT all-stars. Following Mr. West’s comments, Cheryl Snapp Conner, chair of the UTC Communications Committee and managing partner of Snapp Conner PR, will moderate a discussion entitled “Got Game - What Fuels the Fire of an Entrepreneur?” The panelists in the discussion will be Will West, CEO of Control4 and Chairman of UTC; Bob Barnes, CEO of Zonder; and Brian Beutler, Founder and CEO of Alianza. There will be time for Q&A until 9:00 a.m. The event will be held at the East Bay Novell campus. The cost is $8 per person for non-UTC members. For more information visit www.HomeRunsInIT.com.
