FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 6, 2007, Salt Lake—Today the Utah Technology Council (UTC) announced that on June 19 Jeff Alexander, President & CEO of Alexander’s Print Advantage will share his “Law of Referability” strategies for improving customer service, increasing sales, and improving business relationships. Alexander founded Alexander’s Print Advantage with a single commercial printer in 1979. In 1990, he was elected to the Utah Legislature as a Republican House Representative. He served two years as Majority Leader and two years as Majority Whip, and served as four years as Chair of Executive Appropriations. During his 27 years as a successful business owner and 16 years as a House Representative, Alexander has compiled a list of qualities called the “Law of Referability” that when followed lead to extraordinary personal, business and financial success. The Law of Referability is comprised of four key qualities: 1) Be on time, 2) Do what you say you’ll do, 3) Finish what you start, and 4) Be Polite. “We have all been taught that the best new contact is one that has been referred by a friend or other business acquaintance,” said Alexander. “The four qualities that make up the “Law of Referability” seem simple and, for the most part, are things the majority of us have heard of before but in reality are not followed as strictly as they should be. I’ve adhered to these qualities in every endeavor I’ve undertaken and found that, all things being equal, people will do business with and refer business to, those people they know, like and trust.” Alexander’s presentation will be on June 19 from 3-5 p.m. in the training room at the Davinci Suites, 2825 East Cottonwood Parkway, Suite 500. Alexander will provide anecdotal and quantifiable strategies for increasing sales and improving customer service by putting these core strategies to work.
