UTC’s February Industry Breakfast with Top Two Legislative Leaders
Focus on Important Tech and Business Legislative Issues

SALT LAKE CITY, February 7, 2007– Senate President John Valentine and House Speaker Greg Curtis will discuss the most pressing technology and business issues on Utah’s Capitol Hill at an industry breakfast on Friday, February 16, 2007, at 7:30 a.m. at the Marriott City Center Hotel, 200 South State Street in Salt Lake City.

“There are a number of legislative issues pending in the 2007 session that can directly impact technologysuch as health care, educational funding, especially the Engineering Initiative, and transportation. As the state’s premier technology association, UTC is enthused to host this exceptional annual networking event with the state’s top two legislative leaders,” said Richard Nelson, UTC president and CEO. “We welcome the chance to hear the Senate President and the Speaker of the House discuss these issues in more depth.”

Speaker Curtis serves on the Executive Appropriations Subcommittee and Legislative Management Committee.

President Valentine currently serves on the Executive Appropriations, Natural Resources and Transportation & Environmental Quality Subcommittees, as well as Judiciary, Law Enforcement & Criminal Justice and Revenue &Taxation Committees.
