UITA Holds Industry Breakfast January 27 at Canyon Park Technology Center in Orem
-Funding Experts Fraser Bullock, Sorenson Capital and Venture Capitalist David Bradford to speak-
SALT LAKE CITY, January 20, 2005 – Seasoned entrepreneurs Fraser Bullock and David Bradford will discuss the ins and outs of obtaining funding at the Utah Information Technology Association’s (UITA) industry breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on January 27 at Canyon Park Technology Center, 1501 North Technology Way, Building L in Orem.

“Funding is critical to so many Utah technology start-ups, and this is a superb opportunity to learn the keys to acquire financing,” said Richard Nelson, president of UITA. “We are extremely pleased to have two authorities on funding address the members of UITA at a first-rate venue like Canyon Park Technology Center.”

UITA trustee Fraser Bullock is currently the managing director of Sorenson Capital, a $250 million fund, and was the chief operating officer of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee (SLOC) for the Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games of 2002. Bullock is also a managing director and a founder of Alpine Consolidated, a specialized merchant bank formed in the emerging field of consolidating fragmented industries that operate worldwide.

David Bradford, principal of Intermountain Technology Ventures and a UITA trustee, has 26 years of operational and legal experience, and is currently engaged in consulting, fund-raising and business development efforts for a variety of companies. Bradford’s involvement in a series of money-raising efforts for Found, Inc. resulted in a total capital infusion of over $51 million dollars during a 24-month period.

“Working in conjunction with UITA to host the first UITA event to take place in Utah County is a great honor for us,” said Tom Macdonald, president Canyon Park Technology Center. “Canyon Park is the home of an increasing number of Utah's technology companies, making UITA an ideal complement for a significant share of the companies located here.”
